No dirt, gravel with concrete pads and landscape plants growing in the gravel. There is well kept grass around the perimeter. Park looks new and is well cared for. Wi-fi excellent. Quite windy yesterday and no dust or dirt blowing. We plan to stay tomorrow and watch the Nascar race on their big screen tv and low and behold the 3rd night is free. Can't beat that! They have catered dinners every night and restaurants and shopping are only 5 minutes away. We camped here in a 5th wheel.

This is a wonderful, well kept up destination RV Park. We come here for the excellent spring birding and are the only campers here now. The Frio River is adjacent to the property and summer is their main season. They also have several cabins for non campers. We have stayed here before and will hopefully come again

We camped down by the river in site 25 and after a day of rain the lower level became a big mud hole. Evidently hurricane left a layer of mud over whole place and they have done little to improve it. Nearly got stuck trying to leave. They advertise 2 rest rooms but we saw none in our area. We will not be back.

This is an old ex- KOA that appears to cater more to permanent residents. All the dumpsters had doors wide open and there were lots of flies. It makes a convenient overnight stop if you don't mind slumming a bit. When I dumped tanks I had to do it slowly to keep sewage from sloshing out of drain.

This is probably the nicest KOA we've ever stayed in. It has excellent 50 amp power and as noted previously it is clean and well cared for. There seems to be a site for everyone here. Lots of tents around the perimeter and all sizes of RV's . Lots of children but it's not noisy.

This is a great little campground for an overnight stop or maybe a day or two. Close to town and shopping and right on the St John river. I marked it down because there is nothing for children other than the river and it isn't very attractive. They accept Passport America.

We found this campground thru Passport America and the rate reflects their discount. The owner added 3 new back in sites this year, the other 11 sites are taken by seasonal campers. Our site (13) is wooded, full shade, with a gravel drive and pad. It is a short walk past the other sites to the Kennebec river and marina. This is a great stop for folks traveling to or from Canada or someone with a boat that is lucky enough to get a slip in the marina.

Happy to report this park now has a new owner who doesn't hassle dog owners. The park was spotless and we will definitely stop here next time we visit Gallup.

Our site, 316, was dirt with a small grassy area where the picnic table was located. Park appears to be mostly full of long term residents, with a parking lot area, that we were in, reserved for transients. It was over priced but an ok overnight stop.

We were directed here by a local RV dealer when our living room slide failed. The owner went out of his way to assist me find a repairman who would come to the campground and repair our 5th wheel. On top of that he gave us a great site at the Passport America rate of $12.50.

This is a beautiful park centrally located on the island. The owners are on site and take great pride in their resort. They even have discount passes to local attractions and parks. I would have given it a 10 except the electrical voltage dropped significantly when microwave and or hot water heater kicked on. Even though it was August when we were there I don't think we ran the air conditioner.

This is a nice campground on a lake that really isn't close to anything. It is such a nice campground that we wished time would have allowed us to extend our stay. An added plus is the tea room and bakery in the small store/ office.

This is a nice family run campground located on the road to Claytor Lake SP. They have a restaurant and bluegrass music on Saturday night.

There are 2 campgrounds in Bonavista and this is the one you want to stay at. On site owners are friendly and helpful. We are birdwatchers and came here to see Puffins. Owners directed us to 2 sites where we got up close and personal with these fascinating birds. An added bonus were the whales we saw at the lighthouse.
